As an artist I work with the belief that women have an important place in our lives. Whether as mother, wife, sister , aunt- whatever their role, they make our lives more meaningful. My muse has always been the Indian woman, and my works are an ode to them.
The painting depicts a stylized portrait of a couple in an abstract landscape. The man is on the left, wearing a red turban and a mustache. He is looking to his left, while the woman to his right stares forward. Both have a gold dot on their foreheads. They are surrounded by an abstract and busy background of shapes, lines and colors in browns, golds, and blacks.
